First, let me start of by apologizing for not writing in a few weeks. I've been slacking. Second, let's get down to business.
Monday morning (March 24th) the NFL released a round of week one prime time games along with the schedule for Thanksgiving Day. Here they are if you haven't seen them yet.
The Cinderella story of last year the Tennessee Titans and defending Super Bowl champions will kick off Thursday September 10th on NBC at 8:30 Eastern Standard Time.
Sunday night September 13th at 8:30 E.S.T. NBC will feature the 178th meeting between the most storied rivalry (and my personal favorite). The Chicago Bears (Da Bears) will be traveling up to Titletown, USA to visit the Green Bay Packers. This is the game I'm most excited about watching all year. (GO PACK GO!)
Also on Monday night September 14th at 7:00 E.S.T. on ESPN Tom Brady will make his return under center for the New England Patriots as Terell Owens and the Buffalo Bills come into town.
Following that game on ESPN at 10:15 San Diego will be visiting the Oakland Raiders who hope to start new in their 2009 season. They posted at least 11 losses in each of their last five seasons.
Also, the league released the schedule for the customary Thanksgiving Day games. Rumors flew in the off season that the NFL was threatening to rebuke the Lions traditional game after they posted the first ever 0-16 record last year. The Packers come into town which was at one time a tradition when the Packers met the Lions from 1951-1963. This will be on FOX at 12:30 P.M.
The Raiders will also be visiting the T.O.less Dallas Cowboys that day. The game will be on CBS at 4:15.
On NFL Network that night, the New York Giants will be trekking out west to visit a possible new quarterback under center for the Denver Broncos if Jay Cutler is traded in the Off Season. The game will air at 8:20.
